Job Overview:
A Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, or shape metal sheets according to blueprints, technical drawings, or work orders. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and an understanding of metal properties to ensure high-quality and precise production.
Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to bend or form metal sheets according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
• Select and install appropriate dies, punches, and tooling for each job.
•Perform test runs and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure precision and quality.
•Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, protractors, etc.).
• Record production data and report any defects, malfunctions, or deviations.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control teams to improve efficiency and product quality.
